Lotte Berk’s Ballet Barre Workout inspired by classical ballet incorporates yoga, Pilates, and fascial training for a total body workout on the ballet barre that improves muscle tone, flexibility, and strength. Through small and subtle movements that also build deep muscles a harmonious body and a ballerina posture is created.

The Studio

FlexPoint Barre Studio is located in the heart of Zug, just a few minutes walk from the main train station. The Boutique fitness studio is located between the Metalli shopping center and the Neustadt passage. Numerous parking garages, bicycle stands, and bus stops can be found in the surrounding area.

The story behind Lotte Berk
Lotte Berk was originally a ballet dancer. Based on her dance experience, she developed gymnastic exercises with the help of an osteopath after suffering a back injury. In a short time, the new method became a worldwide success. As with Pilates or yoga, the exercises strengthen specific body parts while making them supple. Here in Zug, the “original” is taught. Barre workouts strengthen muscles as well as promote a straight posture. Lotte Berk taught until about 1993 despite being over 80 years old.
About me
I studied at the Lotte Berk Studio in Zurich with Monika Gallo, whose predecessor trained personally with Lotte Berk in London.
I wanted to take this fitness method beyond Zurich, so I opened the first Barre Workout Studio in Zug.
Currently, the ballet workout is one of the hottest sports in Hollywood and is back in fashion:

As a result of my additional training in the American Barre Workout method as well as stretching, additional elements are incorporated into my fitness training routine.

FAQ
Do I need prio knowledge?
No, as long as you are healthy, you can participate in all courses at any time and without prior knowledge. Neither your age nor your physical condition is an obstacle. If you have any health problems, please consult your doctor beforehand and inform me about any limitations.
How many participants are there in a class?
Training at FlexPoint takes place in small groups of no more than six people. As a result, I am able to respond to each participant individually at any time.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring non-slip socks, it is also recommended to bring a towel and water (but you can also participate without these items).
Why do I need a stretching-only workout?
Regular stretching improves your flexibility, your posture as well as your performance. In stretching lessons, more intense stretching impulses are set as in the usual stretching after the session.
Is the Barre Workout recommended for female participants only or are male participants allowed?
Of course, men are also welcome to participate. All muscles are trained in this full-body workout, so anyone who wants to get stronger and more flexible can benefit from it.
